Technically you can swap chips but you have to unsolder them from the boards and then solder them back, not a real fun thing to do. It's not like the 93's where you just pull the chip out and put another one in. You can do like I did and solder sockets on the boards then you can pull the chips out of the sockets, but I did this in case I had a flash go bad. That way I just pull the bad chip out, send it off to get fixed and put it back in. And if you just wanna swap pcm's yes you can.

sorry guys thanks for nice explainings but I have a dumb question
I have 3 cars and one of them is manuel and the other is automatic can I switch those s PCM s too?

If you put the manual pcm in the auto it wont know how to change gears. If you put the auto pcm in the manual it will lock you out of gears. When I did the OBD1 swap the pcm was for an auto and before I flashed the chip with a manual file it wouldn't let me in 3rd gear and maybe even 5th, can't remember for sure. I assume it has something to do with the skip shift BS.
