Default Shortblock options for turbo

well im going to be fabbing a turbo kit for my lt1.. im looking for shortblock options.. this is a street car and NEVER goes to the track.. heres what im thinking of

i want it to rev high so i was kinda thinking along the lines of a forged 327 or 355.. however i want to get the most RELIABLE power out of it that i can what would the advantages and disadvantages be of a smaller motor like the 327 or 355 against something like a 377 or 383 stroker with the turbo on it? keep in mind this motor has to hit pretty high speeds and i dont want lag

For the higher revs the 327 option would be the way to go, but like you said it has its advantages and disadvantages. Loss in CID=loss in HP and Torque.
If I were you I wouldn't worry as much about the bottem end taking all of the abuse as I would the valve train. LT1 springs (stock and aftermarket) are notorius for coilbinding...Just ask me how I know. .
I don' t think that you will experience too much lag. I'd just forge the stock shortblock and turbo the fu*k outa it!

im not all that worried about the valvetrain.. i have shaftmount 1.6rrs, triple isky springs, hardened pushrods and all the good stuff sitting on my shelf... i just dont wanna blow up the bottom end.. im going to start this turbo off on the stock shortblock but not until im way into progress of my replacement just in case..

yup...fully forged low comp 355 with splayed mains..
Unless you go with aftermarket engine management, you will be limited
to 7k rpm by the stock pcm
