i'm in a rush to find one since my 96 gt is busted and i have to drive the 03 cobra everyday. i still have the gt,which i plan on fixing and selling, but i want an lt1(much quicker) for daily duty. the problem is most have 110-120k miles. is that too high a mileage to start modifying?

I have 3:73 in mine but i need a good tune because my rpms rev up so quick that i bounch of the rev limiter from 2nd to 3rd gear...no problem from first to secong though....if you want 3:73 you want a good tune after...just my 2 cents!

Most stock auto LT1 F-bodies I see around here run mid to high 14s. Most of that has to do w/ the driver.

14.2 @ 97 bone stock, 2.73 geared car. But thats in Florida in Feb. Nice cold night.

Depending on the gears from 13.9 to 14.4. GU2 is 2.73 or GU5 3.23

My car went 13.9 stock with 3.23's.

well i guess the problem is mileage now. most i see have at least 100k miles on them, some a little over. TANGERINEta thinks thats too high of a mileage to start tinkering with it.

mine has 106000Km here in Bahrain.
