Default Compression Ratio poll

what kinda C/R's are you guys running? my new motor coming together now is going to be in the neighborhood of 11.5-11.6:1(-5cc valve relief, 52cc head, felpro 4.125 .039 thick gasket, mahle pistons, and trued deck, which is where the variance will be, not sure yet on how far down the piston is sitting in the bore...)

just wanting to see whose gone above 11.5 and is still running pump gas. My tuner(jeff creech) said that 12:1 and above can still be done on pump gas on LT1's... So im looking forward to gettin this thing together and on the rollers.

I ran 12.2:1 on pump gas. 396ci, solid roller, AFR heads, etc... No problems. I know a few guys running 12.5+:1 on pump gas. Its in the tuning, but in my opinion, low 12s is enough without chancing unforseen problems (bad gas, pre-ignition, etc..)

my question that ive yet to ask my tuner is, im sure by pulling timing and such u can get it to work on pump gas... but how much power is being left on the table vs' and aggressive fuel and timing table?

If I could do it again I would run 12.0:1 minimum.
