Unhappy Power loss and backfires?? need help

I am getting a spudder and backfire/popping when the car is about to shift gears at like 5000 rpms sometimes a little higher. Also if I rev really high it does the same thing and it pops/backfires like a ****. When the car does this backfire/popping thing it loses a ton of power. I just got a new distributor, Wires,Plugs, and catalatic converter because of this problem it fixed it for a little while(like 2 days at most) and then I started getting the backfire and power lose.
Also it is being very quiet (like the cut out is covered kind of quiet)

any suggestions would be great

I wonder if you have a bad coil? Maybe it works fine, until you demand a lot of current from it. Its a cheap fix, maybe worth a new one.

You know what, mine did that too a while back, it was the timing set was worn out. But mine did it very bad, under full throttle, it missed like crazy.
