Default Keep bending pushrods..

Im having a problem with bending pushrods. I dont understand why its happening.. But I was thinking that the lifter retainer was giving out a bit.. or maybe using to thick of oil in the lifter not allowing it to compress.. Im not sure though, they arent contacting the head or anything, just the guide plate.. Im not sure if I should spend the money and get the cromoly ones or not, they dont bend as easy and id rather they bend instead of take something with them.. The cam lobes are fine and I disassembled the lifters and they are all ok. Valves are fine and they arent hitting my pistons.. This recently started happeneing when I changed my oil.. that being the only reason I think its too thick of oil.. When the pushrods bend they bend both on the same cylinder.. This happened before but I thought it was because of the studs being 3/8.. I changed those to 7/16 thinking it would be better.. well the studs held up.. lol. Coil bind is somewhere past .600 lift cam only lifts to .576.. Its also a boosted car.

hey man! sorry to hear about your troubles. Heres what I see just going off what your telling us. You mentioned Guideplates and use of non chromemoly pushrods. Thats a no no. ALWAYS use CM pushrods with guideplates. You said u have no clue whats causing the pushrods to bend. I see a few possibilities that will cause me to ask some more questions. How high do u rev the engine? What valvetrain parts are you using now? With your low C/R and small lift, i dont see P2V being an issue, unless your floating the valves. Also, another possibility is having too much spring pressure. Depending on where there bending, it may also be weakening from friction on the guideplate.
