Question of HP Gain
Question of HP Gain Hello
Today the air condition compressor froze up and the main serpatine belt broke....had to have car towed home.
Been looking on ebay and have found the 1LE A/C Delete set up....
Question is of corncern.....How much HP gain would I gain if i was to use this delete set up and remove the added weight of some of the a/C .
Car has the T-Tops and at summer they are pulled out pretty much anyway....
Air condition is t-tops out, windows down and traveling at 100 + MPH
thia setup would be running on a bolt on plus 350 LT1

The compressor only runs when it is needed and I believe shuts off at WOT so you net power gain would be nothing, well maybe .001 because I bet the delete pulley weights less than the ac pulley. You would realize some weight savings.
