Comp 305 220/230 .510/.510
Comp XE 224/230 .502/.510
Comp XE 230/236 .510/.520

1. how much power will these have with all bolt ons, stock heads.
2. how much power will these have with all bolt ons, and LE heads
4. where is the peak power
5. can the 305 be on a 112lope. everywhere sells it on a 114

If you're wanting an exact lobe separation angle like 112 and can't find it try http://www.cmotorsports.com/engine/l...ft-design.html. They don't have exactly 220/230 with 112 LSA, but they're close on a few cams. Seems to me that they have one of the larger listings of LT1 camshafts. They'll also custom grind a cam for you, if needed.

There are tons of variables to figure how much power these cams will produce. Let's assume that you're getting all new valvetrain as well, which you'll have to with those kind of lifts:

I'd say probably 40-50 hp gain with the 305 and XE 224/230, maybe 5-10 more with the 230/236. The 224/230 and 305 should have effective power ranges of 2000-5000 rpm, whereas the 230/236 is leaning more toward 2200-5200 rpm. Somebody will have to help me with peak power, I don't know; probably occurs somewhere 4800-5200 rpm?

I had the XE230/236 .544/.556 (1.6 r's) 114 LSA. I had it custom ground by comp cam. I ordered it thru thunderracing.

With home ported stock heads and a mailorder tune I made 351rwhp/340rwtq with a low 11 A/F. i then added LE ported heads and LT's and made 368rwhp/336rwtq with an A/F well below 10:1. It took two full turns of the regulator to see the A/F start to come off of 10:1. After manually leaning it out to 12.4 ish, the final numbers were 383rwhp/353rwtq. That was done with the regulator to simulate an A/F change. I never got to play with timing. Attached is the graph. Pretty flat tq curve.

I went with a 114 to get rid of a little overlap in case I wanted to do a blower or N2O down the road. I hear different opinions on what moving the LSA will do. I would assume that moving the LSA higher (removing some overlap) will shift the power curve lower in the rpm range. If my cam was ground on a 112LSA, perhaps peak power would have been 6100rpm instead of 6000rpm. I dont know. It was a great cam with some decent lope to it. Nobody mistook it for stock thats for sure! If I had a dyno tune I figure I could have squeezed out 390rwhp/360rwtq.

The heads were 2 year old LE heads with 2.00/1.56 valves (comprable to his LE2 heads now).
