Default Damn Coolant system.

Proper Running Temp for a LT1 with a 180 thermostat, and the A/C off. Im hitting 220- 240 at times. I really hought i got all the air out, but before i go nuts, i wanna make sure this is not normal. I was holding at 190 for the longest time, now it suddenly decided to go back up.

normal fan on temps are 227 and 235. This means that in traffic or idle it will reach near 240 before the fans come on and bring it back down near 200. This is whey I recomend a 160 thermo and a manual fan switch to maintain cooling during non highway driving. I'm in lousiana and with my set up I don't see over 200 at any time.

Thank you very much. the Manual fan switch is what it says, right, does it get annoying to turn it on and off. Thank you.

Also make sure your radiator is working correctly, if anything take it to a radiator place and have it cleaned out, and checked for leaks.

I did everything from 160 thermo, lower fan temps, new waterpump/electric waterpumps, replacing the air dam etc etc and the radiator had pin hole leaks and it let air in and air lock the tubes.

Ya just had the radiator boiled out, and put a new cap on it.

here. read this http://www.hbhracing.com/mfs105.html
That will give you an idea of what the switch does and how it functions. It's actualy really nice to have teh ability to switch your fans on when you want. you can leave it off and never worry about it untill you need it. That way you can let the PCM run the fans like normal. But when your start sitting in traffic or in teh staging lanes you just pop a switch and watch the temps fall. There are pics on that web site as well that will give you an idea of what you see. It's wll out of the way and just the lever of the switch sticks out. One of these days I'll get pics of one of my switchs mounted to she better..

I am waiting on a customer that I just sold one to for some pictures but he has yet to get them to me. I have some pics of one that I installed on a local car about a year ago. I'll dig that up. I am working on making a promo display out of a piece of plastic panel that looks like what outr center console is made of to show off what they look liek mounted and all the different options.. any who..

ok, here we go. this was on a local car. He suplied his own LED's that he had around and didn't use any holders so it's not as clean as the nomal install is. Quality of the pics is a little bad too but you get the idea.

you might have to copy and paste the links.

I also offer some different holders that I need to get pics of and I am looking for a suplier for a Rocker style switch as an option. I have found one I am just waiting for one to do some testing to see how well it works. A lot of people seem to want rocker switches..
