Default Misfires

Hey All,

1993, LT1 M6-

When getting off the throttle, hear popping from exhaust, under heavy accel, revs at about 5k engine starts breaking up.We have changed Spark plugs, as well as the Spark plug wires ( as they were bunt on all but 3 cylanders ) oops ... NEW ignition module, have not changed Coil, Cap, or Rotor, and do not know how old the opti is. Have no checked fuel injectors, car has hooker headers, as well as 2.5 inch pipes back, need some ideas , weather to look at electical or fuel areas first.

Thanks!

I would change the coil next and see if that helps, if not then check opti.

I posted this same thing. back wraping

I have been told - to much fuel, not enough fuel, air leak, bad spark.

I have changed
opti spark, sprak plug wires, sprak plugs, Coil, MSD 6AL must use copper plugs.

I am now about to check gaskets, from intake, heads, headers, and every inch of pipe from y pipe to muffler

Another thing i noticed with my car is that i can smell a little bit of fuel at idle.
I go through pcmforless and am going to have them adjust some things on my computer. I am going to have them lean it up a bit and see what happens could be running to rich. hope that helps a little
