Question what heads on turbo motor ?

i have a 396 right now with all forged internals (callies, srp, ect.) the motor is 4 bolt main as well. right now the motor has 12 to 1 compression because the heads are decked to the max. im thinking of putting these heads on another car with my current cam and looking into some afr or maybe converting some small block heads and matching cam for a pro turbo kit. i want to run a good bit of boost and race gas is not a problem i was just looking for input on a good head and cam combo. i want to join the turbo lt1 crowd...

thanks for any help..

first thing you gotta do is lower that compression. dished pistons and if at all possible a 76 cc heads. im going thru the same thing. building a 9.5.1 comp 355. for a single t76 turbo setup. holler at me if you got any questions Brian!

peace.

I've got AFRs on mine. If I did it again, I'd probably convert a set of 18Xs to reverse cooling, but that's just how I roll.

Trickflow heads might be a good option. They come with 195cc intake runners and flow close to 260 CFM out of the box. Plus, they have 64 cc combustion chambers which would definately help you lower your compression.
