Default stock LT1 intake

whats the power band and cfm that these are rated at stock??
(I.E edelbrock performer intake is off idel to 5500 rpm)

there really isnt any after market intakes that are made for the LT1, just the LT4 but that requires LT4 type heads......

if your thinking about switching the intake alone to pick up power i wouldnt. i saw the edlebrock intake and its for Lt1 heads only. i would wait til you get heads and cam before you went to anything other than the factory intake.

what else do you have done with the engine?

Not really any worthwhile intake swaps other than a custom sheetmetal one

just port/polish it, get an EGR block off plate.

I dont want to swap intakes LOL

I used edelbrock as an example.

I want to know if it will flow well, or really well, and capable of a well built 383. Is this intake good for low to mid range, or if its well for all rpm ranges.

I am referring to my stock LT1 intake, and is there a vendor here who does porting if needed????

for a well built 383 i would really consider switching to Lt4 style heads and intake. if budget is a concern then yes porting the factory heads and intake will work well for you. Lloyd Elliot at www.eportworks.com is good and reasonably priced. there is also Advanced induction.
