If using this piston can I go down to a 5.7 rod for lowering the compression?
Again I plan on getting this piston or something very similiar to it. Here is the website for this piston http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/produ...42&CtgID=10104
Now it shows the compression ratio to be 11.2 at 58cc with 6 inch rods and 3.500 crankshaft. When Lloyd Elliot gets done with porting my heads he said it will be at 57cc, so it is very close to the 58cc. Now if I wanted to get the compression ratio closer to 10.5 could I use a 5.7 inch rod instead of the 6 inch rod or will that bring the compression ratio way below 10.5. Also does the piston for some reason require the use of a 6 inch rod. Thanks for any help.

Ok with regular setup just for numbers (.010 Piston to deck,58cc,fel-pro gasket) I get 11.07 to 1. that seems good to me.
NOW add .300 to your piston to deck clearance....(Not EVEN recomended) I get 6.39 to 1!
I would stick with the 11.07
