Hey what kind of vaccuum are you guys getting
I have a 236/245 114lsa and am only getting about 9 at idle. Car is hesitating pretty badly too til the rpms get up there in closed and open loop and I cant find the problem

Other than making sure your intake manifold gasket, EGR gasket, and TB gasket is on and tight. I would think maybe a vaccume canister may be needed, but for accessories. I never heard of motor running crappy cus of a big cam in of the sense...... what does your car idle at?? Maybe the idle needs to be turned up.

Dont go by the tach, get some one with a scanner or a scan tool that can gather that data.

If all else fails, do a compression test, I only had a problem where it wouldnt idle (with a hot cam no less) cus i bent the #7 intake valve

it idles completely fine and I mean PERFECT
Backfires through the intake when I blip the throttle not when I gradually bring it up
My idle is at 950 so that should be plenty...

What the idle timing set at? make it 30, in the 800-1200 range.
