i dont believe there would be anything to prep. i mean, unless there is gobs of oil and dirt on the engine, then you can try and get most of that off, so it doesn't find its way into the engine.

was just wondering if there were any other parts I should buy before hand or if putting a stall or Cam in a bone stock engine is fine.

I think you are being led down the wrong path here. There are several things you are going to have to upgrade. Most importantly with that cam you want to put in, your going to need some better springs. That is the main thing. You will also HAVE to have it tuned by someone. Dyno tune, mail order tune, whatever. A tune is a must. I also wouldnt do this without replacing your timing chain. You have it apart, a stock replacement is like $30. Then you will need your consumables, oil, antifreeze etc. You will most likely want some rockers to add to the performance benefit of your cam. To do this properly you will need bigger rocker studs ( 7/16" ) New rockers, guidplates, and if you feel like popping for new pushrods you could do that too. ( although 95's have hardened pushrods from the factory )

A few other things you might want to change out while your in there are your lifters and valve seals. Other than that, you will need your gaskets and consumables etc. If you dont have a torque wrench, add that into the budget.
