Default Opinions on this Camshaft

If i read this correctly the part number is CCA-07-503-8

here are the specs.

Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224 int./230 exh.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.503 int./0.510 exh. lift
Lobe Sep. 112 degree

I am looking for a new cam for the car, for a winter project.

Has anyone used it??
What power typically do people see with it?
Whats the lift with 1.6 roller rockers (i forget how to convert it)

I do have emissions, I have passed with a LT4 hotcam, but i need some more power than that. I currently have.

218/224 dur. .525/.525 w/ 112 lobe sep. (hotcam)

I figure 6 more degrees intake and exhuast coupled with more lift should get me rolling good.

Ok, let me RESTATE this.

I HAVE EMISSIONS

In Connecticut, how it works is that if this car is NOT passed by the end of my 2 year (bi-annual) registration, I cannot re-register it. Which means I gotta pay 200 bucks to get a new one, I lose it.

I passed with the LT4 hotcam, I can pass with this, but NO MORE.

If I lived in Hicksville, USA with no emissions, then GM847 or bust, but I cant.

here are the specs with 1.6 roller rockers.

224/230 .536"/.544" 112

compared to the hotcam

218/224 .525"/.525" 112

there is a decent gain in the cam, specs wise. I just want to know has anyone used this cam, or personally know someone who has and can get me TECHNICAL info on it.

Are you the same BSM on fbody.com? If so I thought you had a 383? With a good tune I would expect you to be able to pass emissions.

the cam is fairly calm, especially on a 383.... if the guy is an asshle
he'll say that he cant smog it becuase ofthe sound ..... but on the sniffer the car should pass with that duration.. on those c.i. make sure to keep the lsa above 112 for a cleaner burn....

If that lift is with 1.5/1 rockers, just divide by 1.5 to get your lobe lift (in this case 0.335 and 0.34) then multiply by 1.6. This gives you 0.536 and 0.544 lift.

you REALLY should let your beast breathe with a better set of heads.
Thats where you should be looking.
If you want more power, and have a 383, and already have a hot cam, why not just have lloyd porta set of stock heads for ya.
Stock LT1 heads do a poor job of feeding 350ci, much less your stroker.
A bigger cam will only be a band aid, and be less efficient
