y-pipe tranny cross member impact
I'm putting in Jet-hot longtubes and the accompanying y-pipe, but as it looks right now the y-pipe will hit the transmission cross member, even though Jet-hot flattened the top of it so it would clear. I plan on grinding down the cross member and this might make it so the pipe clears. Even so, would you recommend anything I should stick to the underbody or around the pipe so it doesn't making any bangs when I hop on it? Rubber or something? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you welding it up or just clamping? If welding (which I recommend) once everything is tightened up the exhaust should ride with the body and not hit if done properly. If it does, you can use some insulating tape on the crossmember to ward off vibration...
Dude, the flat part isn't on the transmission crossmember, the flat part is right where the collector is right underneath the K-member. Anyways to answer your question...
You can get a piece of radiator hose and wedge it in there. I have Jet Hot LT's as well, and I clamped down the y pipe and welded in the cutout into the y pipe. You'll be fine with the tranny crossmember, the y pipe pretty much goes around it.
