Well after going from a 99 LS1 with Borla to my now 96 Z28 with borla, WOW, I am so impressed with how much better the Borla sounds on the LT1 compared to the LS1. I absolutly love the sound of Borla on the LT1...
so my vote is for Borla.
so my vote is for Borla.
alright, this is what i need to know: i have a 94 z28 m6. right now, it is bone stock with a cutout. i will add lt headers. will gmmg with lt's be noticeably louder that my current set-up? is borla or gmmg louder? i plan to add a medium cam, if that matters.
Old thread, but wanted to know....anyone have an opinion on the Dynomax? I listened to it over at ls1sounds and i honestly really like it compared to others, even the GMMG. I have a Flowmaster cat-back, American Thunder and i hate it. Sounds good at part throttle/idle, but once you accelerate it sounds like poo. I'm thinking of SLP or Dynomax.
i have a 96 LT1 with a Flowmaster catback. It sounds amazing at idle and at low revs. But just cruising or at high revs there is zero sound
i would get a GMMG but i dont have the money. and in my mind magnaflow is worse sounding than stock. its an exhaust for people **** about power. a cutout would accomplish the same thing and sound 1000x better

After spending hours reading and searching youtube i found this to be the best sounding combo : Pacesetters LT, ORY pipe, hookers aerochamber and cutouts . It is not quiet but not too loud, not raspy, just right. any similar combinations out there?
Like Loudmouth popularity and price, but sounds a bit raspy for my taste and it appears if you throw long tubes to it, it gets too close to undriveable.

I just installed my hooker Catback with some long tube headers (pacesetters) and ORY pipe. The sound is nice and mellow at idle and cruising and nice hard when on the gas. It is not raspy either. Sounds great. However, when the engine is under load and torques, I can feel the exhaust grinding against the car. Should I put in new engine mounts? Any ideas?
