Default Intake manifold swap..

Well I re-enlisted army, or am just about to when the paperwork finally comes in. and got 8,000 to play with to finish my race car. so im gonna put some decent drag rims on it, a 4,000 stall, a roll cage, and a paint job, BUT I'd like to get 10s on motor out of it too.

Right now im having misfire issues even though Ive swapped every ignition component... TWICE... so i guess ill go LTCC or something... but with it running right its only goin 11.20s.. So I'm thinking since I still have a stock TB and intake maybe going to edelbrock super-victor or something like that will be worth enough extra HP to kick 10s on a cold night...

I was wondering who has this setup, and if you can do it with all the stock fuel injection equipment to keep the cost down... also will a hood be necessary, and what do I use for an FI tb that flows about 900 CFM or so.

the accel dfi 4 barrel tb would be your best option on that deal and you would probably need to use the dfi pcm but i dont know for sure i could be no where near right on this

i would think bigger cam and aftermarket heads, bigger tb, or even doin a lt4 intake
with your compression you could gain alot by gettin a larger cam than a hotcam.

actually my signature needs updating, I have a comp cams 236/242 .555 /576 and new bulletproof valve train.

and im still havin misfire issues because im in kuwait right now, thousands of miles from my race car.

I would imagine an edelbrock victor for vortec style heads would bolt right up correct? and the edelbrock throttle bodies use a GM TPS, and GM IAC so they might just plug right in.
