there is a company in the north east that has retrofited a magnacharger to the LT1. they did this for the Bbody guys. Magnacharger themselves are making a set up that will work with the LT1 that should be availible this summer sometime. it will not fit in an fbody without having to do some cutting on the body. im not sure what area specifically.

The company with a working b-body kit is Mease Performance out of New Jersey and sounds like he is working with Magnacharger.

there was supposedly a magnacharged ls1 fbody at the last gathering in Atl. i did not see it personally nor have i seen pics. my friend told me about it so i tend to believe him. he said it did not look like much had to be cut to make it work. in talks with magnuson that i have had they said it just will not fit without cutting and thats not what they are about.

the guys at magnacharger said they have been working on a SBC setup for a couple years and had it at SEMA the last couple years too. they just had not finished the packaging yet. look for it at this years SEMA. its more for the street rod and old school crowd than anything else. i know it will be a big hit when it makes its debut. its an impressive system and very worth of the accolades it has received.

actually it's an Eaton M112 blower that Mease is using on the kits. I have a post on here from a while back that talks about it. I've still yet to see what kind of #s it produces on a completely stock motor, as I've been told Mease is a very busy person.

Like Dwayne said I do believe Mease is actually working w/ Magnacharger in producing the kit, and I believe it's more geared toward the hot rod guys as like you said you'd have some cutting to do

magnuson uses an eaton 112 for their setups. its very similar to the blower off the lightings. isnt that the setup Mease started with? i remember your post i just couldnt remember who was doing the work. im very excited about this setup in general. i expect the power ratings to be like the LS cars and thats 100-120hp over stock. well i really hope so anyway. its going to kickass and look great doing it for sure.

Doesn't the LT1 handle power adders and boost a whole lot better than stock LS1s? I believe Mease pushed the prototype engine which was at something like 250K all the way to 12psi unintercooled before she gave up. It was in his wife's daily driver Impala. The guy definetely takes ona bit more work than he can handle though, he has also turned out a couple TT stroker b-bodies one running 18psi on pump gas and it all fits under the stock hood with a little brace trimming, another they actually trimmed the top of the hood around the turbos, don't care for the look myself but definetely catches the eye.

yea ive read a couple of articles for the ls1 magnacharger but they had put them on vettes and custom applications.still think it look killer if they could fit it under the cowl of a f-body.

well that 69 was a little more than a moderator. that would be the admins car. ie the guy who owns this website. its Nineball or Tonys car. if it was red and lowered.

the magnuson is a great setup and is such a blast to drive in the vettes. it will make the SSR and Hummer really move too. they are just so much of a different feeling that you dont feel as if your really moving even though you are.
