Anyone know if long tubes would scrape??

Default Anyone know if long tubes would scrape??

so i'm gunna buy some long tube pacesetter headers but I don't want them to scrape on the ground so does anyone if they would and if they would is there any other brands that are alittle smaller? and wat about short tube headers is there much difference from the long tubes? thanx guys

If you hit the bags with LT's, you're going to scrape. They dont hang all that low on an F body from what I've seen, its the Y pipe that hangs the lowest.

And shorty's are junk, dont even bother with them. Go mid's or LT's

the pacesetter LTs have a lot more clearance than any of the other LTs like hooker and jet-hot, but i think that's because of the collector or absense of one.

i have no idea how they would sit since you have it in a truck, but shorties and midlength headers are definitley going to have more clearance. the primaries which is each single tube from each cylinder are shorter. hence the name short tube, midlength, and long tube headers. you will get more power out of the long tube headers but even more power out of a set of LTs with a nice collector. pacesetters are decently priced, but you're getting what you pay for.

I have hooker long tubes, and they very very rarely scrape. Only the collector scrapes every once in a long while. My problem, is my cutout hits the ground quite often, especially when my foot is heavy.

are u lowered or stock height?? i'm lowered and i know i'd have probs with clearance with the hookers.
