Dropping an LT1 in my 93 Z71

Has anyone out there ever dropped an LT1 into a Chevy Silverado Z71? I got a little deep into a mudhole and sucked in some sand through the exhaust of my stock doggy motor. So rather than stuffing another inefficient terd of a motor in it, I want to drop an LT1 into it. Anything I need to look out for? How do I integrate 4wd/lighting system to the new computer setup? Any info will help. Thanks.

i do not know about the 4wd system. im betting the computer does not control this. the lights are not controlled by the computer. the engine will fit pyshically. it will be wiring and plumbing the fuel lines that will be the hardest to complete. there are many fittings availible for making the fuel line connections. then its just a matter of routing the wires.

i dont think it will be that hard to do, but i am also not sure about the 4WD system. that could be a bigh hurdle or nothing at all.

I have done this motor swap in 1992 ext cab 4x4.If there ate any questions you have feel free to ask.My truck came with a 4.3 v6 and a 5 speed.The tranny has held up fine with this motor.
