Default 93 Z keeps dying

This post is for my sister's 93 Z28 A4. The other day it died on her way out of the gas station. My dad came up and pushed it to a parking lot where eventually it started up (within minutes of dying). It ran the rest of the day/night w/ no problems. This has happened before. It was in a shop for a week w/ them trying to find the problem, but it never threw any codes or anything. In another forum they suggested possibly bad gas, or changing the fuel filter. Haven't had a chance to check filter yet, but I'd like some more suggestions on what you think might be wrong. Thanks everyone.

First thing I thought of was bad gas... but how empty was the tank when you filled it up?

I can't imagine being able to come up with something that a shop didn't think of after having the actual car in the shop, so I won't speculate.

I just wanted to say that I always hate to hear about a '93 having trouble. Good luck.
