I'm ordering a new driveshaft to go with my new rear end, so I'm looking to sell my aluminum stocker. Will my aluminum ds fit on a 94 LT1 that currently has a steel ds? I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit, but I've looked everywhere and can't fit the answer.

 

Yes. the steel LT1 and alum LS1 DS's are interchangeable. M6 or A4 does not matter either.

v6 cars will interchange as well...mine was tweeked and had a horrible vibration. i had to use a 6 cylinder shaft out of a 2000 3.8 firebird

 

Yeah they are interchangeable...a friend of mine has already done this.
