Default What magaflow cat Part# for a 95 z

I live in northern cali and my cat is gutted. I need to order a magnaflow cat just wondering which part# would fit my car (95 z28 single cat)

do you have stock y-pipe?? if so just look for the 2.25'' or 2.50'' not exactly on what you but there cali emissions cat part numbers are 43005, 43006 heres a link

I have a 95z with obd-1 pcm and a 3 inch catback (gmmg)....would a 3 in 3 out fit with my car and what other series should i look for

now see your problem is that your running the stock y-pipe thats not 3'' and if you use a 3'' you will need alot of weld to fill the gap but it will work. also you can look at there stainless steel cats, there NEW cali cats and basic universal cats. just remember you don't need one with the A.I.R line running in it. my 3'' stainless part number is 94309 if that helps anymore

Doesn't the stock y-pipe meet into one 3 inch pipe that feeds into the cat

no the stock y pipe mergers into one at the cat and thats either 2.25 or 2.50 im not sure it's been awhile since ive played with the stock y-pipe. your cat back doesnt become 3'' until after the flange thats welded to the stock cat. Heres what the exhaust shop can do, they can cut off the flange and weld it to your new aftermarket cat then bolt it back to the cat back or they can just slip the cat ending into the cat back and weld. i would buy the 2.50'' cat and be done with it.
