On the road again!
Well I finally got the thing back on the road yesterday. Not sure if I'm gonna like this locker, sure does clunk and thud alot, and I mean alot and it's loud. The Richmond 4.11s are surprisingly quiet. For those that were following the other post I had about the rearend, the z bars will definitely plant the tires! If you have traction problems at the track this would definitely help it out. I can barely bark the tires in second now. It's a very weird feeling doing 70 mph and nailing it and feel the back end raise up instead of squat. As far as ride quality it's as good as stock, the only thing I don't like is it's bouncy in the rearend if you don't take off smooth, hard to explain but it's sorta like when a semi takes off and starts lunging. It's due to the angle the z bars are at and how much it raises the rear on takeoff. Only thing I have left to do is find some 3 1/4" U bolts for the rear swaybar and get a good driveshaft. Any recommendations on something other than a locker would be appreciated. Here's a pic of the finished rear and a link if you wanna take a look at some of the stuff I did, I took pics along the way on the build up. http://community.webshots.com/album/403751645dCDQhv/0
Looks pretty cool man , cant wait till i can get a heavy duty rear end. So are those bars a custom made deal? Let me know how they work for you at the track.
I havent been on here for a while , but was that you that went off roading in your car? Somebody made a video and your car looks a lot like it.

The upper bars are custom, I just took tubing and mounted them to the LCAs I already had. Also had to make caliper brackets. I took all the other brackets off the 10 bolt and put them on the 9".
I was just reading the manual that came with the locker and it says it's normal to have up to a 1/4 turn of play in it, holy cow! That thing has to come out of there.
Only offroading I do is at the drag strip.
