Default problems on dyno

Well i got the car tuned on the dyno friday afternoon and it seemed to make good power clear through 6500 rpm's. So we decided that we would make the shift point at 6700-6800 to get just past my peak power. So that night i decided to see how it would do goin that high. As soon as it hit 6600-6700 it backfired real bad and it forced the dipstick out of the tube about 2 inches. My car is a heads/cam car with all the bolt-ons and im also running the delteq kit. To me it sounds like im getting blowby or its detonating. Or could it have to do with the ignition? My question is what do you guys think that it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
