i have a 93 t/a low miles but i dont seem to be able to get a newer car anytime soon so i plan on modding it slighty what are some good parts to add onto it, i want it to sound real mean but also fast without dumping a ton of money any suggestions on parts to get?
Well the best bang for the buck you can really get is Cold Air Induction, I recommend K&N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) You can buy them at ThunderRacing, Summit and just about everywhere else. They run a little over 200 bucks and are proven to add around 18-20HP, the install is pretty simple, and it looks great in the engine bay. Plus it has a cool sound when you step on it. SLP, Moroso and a few other companies make them as well.
After that you can look into some exhaust, I don't know what your budget is but there are a lot of very good catback systems around for cheap. You can also get Headers pretty reasonable, if your going big time you can afford a Borla Catback, or Corsa Catback, and some QTP or Kooks Headers. But if your on a limited budget, Hooker, Texas Speed and Performance, Magnaflow, and a bunch of other companies make well priced catbacks that perform. You might also want to look into duals or whatever. Check out LS1Sounds.com, it has a lot of sound clips and info on exhaust. And search the forum for some recommendations. If you decide to do Headers with your exhaust I would look into Pacesetter Longtubes. Spend the extra money on ceramic coating if you have it, it's well worth it. After all that, see how you like the little setup and go from there.
