Default LT Headers 93-97 96-97?

I have a 96 formula. I'm looking around for a decent set of used LT headers. Some I see are advertised as 93-97 and some are 93-95 and 96-97. What are the differences in the OBD1 and OBD2 headers? Will 93-95 fit my car? Thanks

I think it's more in reference to the y-pipe. The earlier y's had a single cat, while the later ones had two cats. I believe the older ones would fit the newer cars...

Its for the AIR fitting on the headers. The AIR fittings are in different places on different year cars. The ones that are 93-97 are "race" headers with no emission fittings so they will fit any of those years. LT's normally have "catless" y-pipes or you can have some cats welded in a custom y-pipe as well.

The AIR thing could be true. I don't know about that as I did buy race headers. However, may LT companies make both catted and Off-Road y-pipes. When I bought my Kooks LT's and catted y-pipe, it wasn't a special custom order.

This is true.. but to add to that it's for clearance for the steering shaft. someone i know purchased 94-95 headers for his 93 and they did not fit. they bolted up but rubbed up against the steering shaft (those were pacestters) so to be safe by the headers for your year car.

The steering shafts clearances should be the same with all of the years. My MACs rubbed a little but they eventually clearanced themselves. He probably got a bad set of headers since they rubbed.

if you look into purchasing the pacesetter headers get the one for a 96 trust me you won't regret it later. also ceramic coating does wonders for engine temps.
