Default Should I replace my MAF?

Been having problems with my car surging while idling. I've replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor, had a fuel injection clean, and even cleaned my throttlebody and maf with throtlebody cleaner again recently and my car still surges while idling for a prolonged period at a stop light, then stalls. It never did this until I had a high stall converter installed and will not stall or surge when the a/c is running. I've put alot of money into trying to fix this problem including going to GM, and them not fixing it and then to a fuel injection specialist and they were still not able to fix my problem. I have a hypertech programmer with the option to read DTC's and get real time data, my o2's seem to be functioning and my MAF is reading 7.5 g/s air flow (what should it be reading?) I have power to my MAF, but cannot get a frequency reading when I backprobe the sensor, but I am not sure I am backprobing it properly for the frequency test, any suggestions, I am at my wits end and have little funds left to play with, HELP. PS My MAF is also descreened.

I don't think you going fix it by changing you MAF. The ECM should set a code if it had a problem. I would look at the iac motor. Since, the surging goes a way when you turn on the ac. It was not keep the tb open enough when it is off. It might be sticking at the loser settings.
