Default Cold-Air Induction

I am looking for advice on Cold-Air Induction, my '94 Z came with an SS style hood and what appears to be a SLP Ram Air, Air-Box Assembly. As I live in the Bahamas (avg air temp 90 +) I think this is not the most efficient air induction package and am concerned that the high under hood temperatures are robbing me of some horses. I want to go back to a Cold-Air system of some type such as a K&N or SLP, what have you guys found best.

K&N kicks *** and gets my vote
They are all pretty much the same thing though, however i have never seen any problems out of K&N
