Anyone Removed the "Cone of Silence"
Anyone Removed the "Cone of Silence" Planning on removing the "Cone of Silence" in my 1997 Anv. SS Convertible. I am sure it has it as I've researched and found the build date of mine was after they started putting them in, and before they changed from the TOTL (two on the left) in the 97 SS's.
Question for those with a 97 SS....Have you removed the cone and if so what did you experience response wise and more importantly....sound wise. Anyone you know removed one? Car sounds sweet right now....will it be alot louder. Thanks.

yeah i had the cone in mine and i took it out, it makes a BIG difference, the cone reduces the flow from 3' to like 1 and a 1/4 or something, its worth it. i cant say i felt anything different performance wise, but sound wise you can tell. i would also like to reccomend LM, i did it to my 97 and its been one of the best things i have done to it, you can really feel the diffrence.
