Default Catalyst question

I have a 1995 convertible Firebird wich i am modding for my friend and i have been thinking.... do i need o2 simulator for this model year? I know it is needed for the 96 and up models but if i am not mistaken that is the year they swich to obd2

oh and do any of you guys know where i can get stock springs on the car or performance ones that dont lower the ride.. the car i low enoug alredy

O2 simulators are ONLY for the after cat O2s on OBD2 cars those O2s are only there to monitor cats performance and have nothing to do with engine controls. A 95 F-body will be OBD1 but will likely have an OBD2 connector under the dash.

There are actually very few OBD2 '95s out there, they were california only cars.

ok thanks for your help guys i apreciate it. so in this case i will probably say bye bye to the cat when i install the a new exhaust since the emmissions laws in my country only say that the co2 level must be under 2% wich is no problem for any car that isnt malfunctioning in some way
