Default 383 stroker

could anyone give me an approx. price and hp rating for an LT1 bored and stroked to 383?? and any mods that would be cheaper yet give me good hp, and/or any mods i would need to make to get the engine bored larger, also how big could you make the displacement safely? thanks.

We do LT based engines on a regular basis, and have some of the fastest cars in CA running our stuff in the Impala crowd. I can deliver a nice 383 shortblock for around $3650.00 and this short will support 450WHP safely. The Block is set up with billet main caps for ultimate strength and reliability, the pistons are forged SRP units and the rods and crank are from Scat. I can tell you this short block has actually done more than 450RWHP but it is where we recommend you stay below due to the economical rotating Assy. Let us know if we can do anything for you and we can get a real quote together for your project. We can do anything from mild to wild so let us know what you are looking for and we will deliver what you desire!

Im having mine built at Carolina Speed and Salvage. Im picking all the parts, and the owner is just showing me the way, and building it, giving me suggestiong, ect. My car is a 97Z. Its my daily driver, and my only vehicle. I am looking at over 450 at the wheels on motor alone, with an A4 and 3.23's. On spray Ill see close to 700 at the wheels. If your looking for this type of route, your looking to spend some money though, being as this is my daily driver, and has to be reliable, but I want 9's in the 1/4!!!!!
