Default just bought a 30th anniversary 97 Z!!

i am stoked yall...this thing is mint inside and out it is a hard top automatic with around 60k miles on it. i got it for 8800. im having it shipped to me next week. i have a few questions for u lt1 owners. ive had 4 ls1 cars, but never an lt1. i know the ls1 like the back of my hand by now, but i know **** about the lt1. so yall are gonna have to help me out along the way anyway, just wanted to share my happiness. gimme some feedback on my decision as well as some good basic mods to start out with. thanks fellas!!

WHen you do plug changes from a LS1 to an LT1 you're gonna be in for a surprise Even though it wasn't that bad....Check for timing chain and intake manifold oil leaks though, as they are very common on our cars. LT1's are good cars, you'll enjoy it.

It's not bad at all if you remove the A.I.R. system, IMHO. But removing the A.I.R. crossover line on the front of the engine--now that's bad! Good thing you only have to do it once...

hell ya 97s are sweet man. you can get some really good power just from bolt ons. lt1s are so much more oldschool, you will know exactly what i mean when you drive it.
