Default cam bolt on Qs

Im starting to get my car were I want it. I have full bolt ons minus rocker arms, but I need alittle more power. Im wondering what the best cam to run is on the stock heads? I have headers, exhaust, cold air, plus the micellaneous stuff. Also what kind of power could I suspect at the wheels and how much would it cost to have one installed? If anyone has had experiance with cams on stock heads your advice would be much appreiciated, also would I need higher ratio rocker arms? Thanks

Your gonna want 1.6 roller rockers with a new cam......and you will also need different valve springs and a few other things. As for the cam it really depends on how much driveability you want and how high of rpms you wanna risk spinning the stock block. I have seen around 350 rwhp or even a little more with the GM 847 cam on stock heads, but its a big cam and you will have to spin it pretty good. The cc305 is a good cam that makes pretty good power and retains pretty good driveability as well. I would say with the cc305 you would be around 330-340 rwhp range, but it also depends on your supporting mods.

The power your putting down is going to depend on the condition your car is in and the type of tranny. Generally speaking if you're and auto, I would expect between 260-280 RWHP. If you have a stick 280-310 RWHP again depending on many variables.
