Spec clutch problems?; also running lean and having misfires
) So I got it installed (my second aftermarket clutch) but when I started it up to put it in reverse, i noticed it didn't grab at the bottom like the centerforce did?? I thought maybe I didn't bleed the air out all the way, so i did it again and nothing changed. It goes into gear and everything OK, but I just didn't think it was normal. What do u guys think? Is it gonna last like 100miles or what? The flywheel has been resurfaced twice for the record. Secondly, I have the mods in the sig with a stock tune (i know i know, im a broke college kid, what can i say?) I know I need a tune, but I think im going to need injectors too?? The car runs real lean all the time and has random missfires. and just today my SES like started to blink and the car seemed like it wanted to die and was peeged at lean. my question is this, before i get a tune do i need to get injectors, adustable fuel pressure regulator, or what? I have had the H/C in for about 5k with no tune (
i know i know
) Any help would be awsome and ask any questions if u need.
Thanks, Dave
I always had a problem with thier clutches and never had one last more than 2K miles without going sour or causing problems.
I had the exact same problem after installing a SPEC stage 2 clutch... and even installed a new flywheel. The only true way to solve the Reverse gear lock out issue is the install an adjustable Master cylinder, and bench bleed the hell out of the haudraulic setup. I'm using a ram adjustable that cost like 170 bucks and it does an amazing job. I'm not trying to discourage you or anything... but you can't expect much from a Spec clutch... they have serious quality issues. There's so many guys over at Cz28.com that have had faliures with that clutch that it's unbelievable.
