Default how much nitrous?

sorry, i know you've probably been over this topic a million times, but i just got my first f-body, a '97 lt1 a4 with long tubes, lt4 km, no cats, reprogrammed pcm, and cold air of some kind. I wanna get as fast as possible before winter hits...how much can i spray with a wet kit? I planned on 150 shot...do i need to retard any for that? Is the fuel pump decent in lt1's? I was thinking on adding a cheap convertor just to last me until this winter- whats my best option? the car has timeslips of going 13.60's as is ...i'd like get it into low 7's in the 1/8 asap. I will probably add a gear and dr's too. thanks a lot...

You should be ok with a 150 shot...but your pushing your luck. I would look into some gears, stall and tires, get the 60' on you current setup down with all that stuff and watch your times drop. Then after you maxed out the power you already have you can think about adding more.

Anything over 100 I would add atleast an inline fuel pump, colder plugs gapped 35 (NO platinum), and pull a few degrees out.

Depending on tire/suspension/launch, you might not be able to get those low 7s anyway without atleast a cam. But it could definately run some sort of 7s

I would do an intank walbro 240lph high pressure...Definetly colder plugs like an autolite 104 or ngk tr6.. KNock back timing at least 2 degrees or just throw some 100 octane in.. Like a half/half mix and leave timing...

ok, i'd like to run 125 or 150 shot, so i might retard timing a little, and i am buying a fuel pump for sure. The pcm was supposedly tuned, and there are signs of where a bottle bracket used to be as well as a hole in the hatch, so i need to see where the hell the timing is at now. I was thinking about buying M/T drag radials to put on my stock wheels....has anybody done this on 4th gens on here? thanks

for that i suggest you get a 255 fuel pump plugs , and a tune if you want your motor to not blow up . I would go with 100-150shot
