oil pressure problem!

Default oil pressure problem!

I have just rebuild my LT1 and when i start the car the oil presure is fine but after it worm up the oil presure drop down almost to the red line (Zero) PSI !
i changed the oil pump but nothing happend !!

What do you thang ! is the block broken ?

the main berings where bad when i removed the cranck shaft

does the pressure build when you rev it? Is it only low at idle? Lt-1s at idle look like they have no oil pressure. Kinnda scary if you ask me, but i guess its normal

Having zero oil pressure at idle is not normal. It can be low (10-20) but not zero. Basically anything not in the red area on the gauge is considered acceptable.

Check the sending unit? Make sure its not a faulty gauge before you start tearing into it again. In 93, the sending unit is right above the oil filter and in 94+ its located behind the intake manifold. Something like a $15 part. Its worth a try.
