LT4 Intake question

Will a PP LT4 manifold fit on 97 LT1 stock heads?

no the runners will not line up corectly.

if you use the lt4 intake you have to use the lt4 heads and vice versa neither by themselves will work with lt1 parts

if by PP you mean port/polish, if you had your machinist port match the intake to an lt1 intake gasket it would work. (i think)

the manifold was port/pol but i bought it used so i dunno.

The LT4 intake IS NOT and upgrade. It has some extra material so it can be ported to match LT4 heads but does not do so well in stock form and without some work will not bolt to LT1 heads. The ports and plenum are basically the same the LT4 intake just works better with the LT4 raised runners. Want a real education on it go to camaroz28.com and look for posts by "arnie" he and a FEW others have posted some exellent info on this subject yet the IGNORANCE persists and people want to put that intake on an LT1. Bet at least once a week someone asks this question on that board so don't feel bad it is a VERY common mistake.
