Default what size injectors for heads/cam setup?

I'm in the middle of installing a set of ported stock heads, (blending the bowls, around the guide, gasket matching the ports on the I/E, polishing the combustion chambers, blah blah blah, get the idea?) along with a Comp Cams #501 cam (.488/.495, 212*218*, 112LSA) but I'm using Comp Pro magnum 1.6 rockers. currently I have LT's, ORY, CAI, 58mm TB, Cut-out, 160* T-stat, and a custom tune by phil on C.A.T.S.

the subject of injectors has come up, and I don't think the factory 24lb injectors are going to do the trick... car won't be ran over 6200-6300rpm (stock 80k mile bottom end)

are 30's over kill for this mild cam setup?
need help quick, car is under the knife as I type this.

I run 30lb injectors with raised fuel pressure. They will be fine as long as you tune accordingly.

Im running my stock injectors on my cammed LT1. I run mine up to about 6500. Theyre getting close to maxing out the duty cycle but theyre still fine...for now. Its never a bad idea to upgrade though. Like Q said, just make sure you tune for em.

the tune is no problem. car will probably have some sort of tune on it (over what I have now) before I even fire it off.

I know tuning can take out a big part of the loading up issue with big injectors, and in some cases make in non-existent. with the increased overlap of the cam, and the larger injectors will there be a problem with some sort of "loading up" issues at idle? thought I read a GMHTP magazine that said you SHOULDN'T have problems with this if you don't go any larger than 10 to 20% bigger on the injector.

Bigger injectors are not needed with this cam stockers should be enough. If the pcm is tuned for the bigger injectors it will work fine, but I think it's a waste at this stage.
