OptiSpark Install Question

Hey I am going to install a new optispark on my 97 Trans Am. But I have a question when you put up the optispark to the cam how do you adjust it so that it goes in? I heard that since its a 97 you can only fit it in one way. Is that true? Oh and do I have to adjust the timming at all?

it will only go on one way there is a notch in the pin that only allows for it to go on straight, and no no adjusting the timing .

Just make sure the dowel pin goes in the correct slot and youll be fine. That is how you make sure the timing is correct.

and don't use the bolts to draw the opti up to the timing cover either. It will go in, you'll just have to use a little force.
