t56 to a4 swap questions

t56 to a4 swap questions I have been searching for about 2 hours now and dont have a complete grasp on what i need to do. I know that i need the tranny, crossmember, pedals, console, shifter, radiator, driveshaft, flexplate, converter, but my question is WHAT DO I DO WITH THE WIRING?? Some people say to swap the whole engine/tranny harness, and other people say you just have to cut and splice wires. which would be great so which wires do i cut and splice, and do i have to re-pin the pcm? Somebody please help me on this one.

I did it about 2 years ago....the best way is to just cut and splice the A4 harness in all the way into the computer connectors, if you do not have FACTORY service manuals and KNOW how to use them.....dont even try it, reverse lights also have to be spliced in, also for the cruise and park lock solenoid to work properly the brake light switch also has to be tied in. Lot of work and knowledge to do it right.

I did the A4 to M6. Wasn't that hard really. The cruse switch and brake switch are all in the pedal assembly. Your best bet would be someone that is looking to swap a 6 speed into their car, get all the parts from them and swap it in. Good luck.

ya that is waht i got a freind of mine has a 94 z so we are going to swap everything out. If anyone knows what colors the wires are that i have to splice or any info like that it would be greatly appreciated
I am in the middle of a T56 to A4 swap as well. I got the engine harness and everything from the other car, but i heard there is a slight bit of wiring changes i will need to do to finish the swap. I will get the info and pass it on for you guys.
