I was sold on getting an LS1, but due to money contrictions, i'm probably aiming at a 96 lt1 camaro now. So, being the bored bastard that i am, i decided to research on the engine more, seeing what kind of aftermarket items i could find. These two stuck out in my mind. Can anyone give me some bonuses and drawbacks of the two? Any reply is appreciated, thanks.
Before spending a ton of money to get 425 base horse pwr, consider contacting Lloyd Elliott at http://www.eportworks.com/ He will make your LT1 castings flow better than the LT4! His Head/Cam packages are making much greater power than the LT4 setup. With the supporting boltons, he's seeing well over 400 RWHP!!! Call him and talk with him, he's good people.
Hmm, numbers they make is ok, but he posts that he is assuming you have all the other bolt-on upgrades. Does anyone have numbers they kits made on their own without all the additional bolt ons, and larger# injectors?

Don't imagine you're going to find to many people who have numbers, with no additional mods. One thing is for sure though - Lloyds packages with no supporting mods are going to run much better than the lt4 conversion with no supporting mods... Same goes for many other vendors that provide head/cam/intake packages - most are going to beat the snot out of the lt4 converstion.
Lt4s are going to work better, if you do the same amount of work to them, but if you bought the coverstion kit, then had them worked over... we'll, you could have probably paid less for some sweet ported AFR 210s or 220s...
