Default Need Help On Pricing Car

Ok guys i need some opinions. This is the deal, I have an unfinished project car that I'm not going to be able to finish because I am moving so I decided to buy a nice street car that I can drive every day. I have someone who has expressed interest but we did not discuss money figures.

So the car is a 97 Z28 30th anniversary edition(white with orange stripes) it's a conv. The car only has 40,000 miles on it and is near perfection. Now I have a 410 stroker for the car that has eagle crank, lunati rods, and diamond flat top pistons. I paid 4,500 for it. The car has a 12 bolt with 33 spline axles, eaton posi, 3:73 gears. I've got the 4l60E that is very built and prolly would stand the power for awhile, but i wasn't planning on using it. 3200 vig in that. The motor and tranny are not in the car though. The car has a custom built 6 point cage that is painted orange to match the stripes. Brand new racing seats, 5 point harnesses, battery box. Aluminum drive shaft. The car is setup with a NOS nitrous system, dry 150 shot. it's sittin on some slicks, with just spare tires on front. Also have pretty much all accessories that would go with car, water pump, radiator, altenator, cold air. I'm prolly leaving out some important stuff but thats the basics. Finished right this is an easy 9 second car, thats what I was goin for.

So I guess i'm just trying to figure out a good price, and see what you guys would pay for it. Also if anyone is interested let me know, cause it is far from sold. Also have a trailer for it for a little more. Thanks Guys.

Depends on the buyer.......im sure a 50yr old gpa aint going to want 410 stroker, let alone nitrous. Pretty much not alot of people want ot buy a modefied car, most people dont like it. Ur not going to get what you paid for out of her at all. .02

Yeah I know I won't get what I paid for it, but the right buyer hopefully will understand the money thats in it and how much it costs to have a motor like that built, so hopefully ill get a decent amount, but i just really don't know how much to ask. So anyone out there interested shoot me some offers.

30thz28 you just need to find a dumb buyer, who knows nothing about internal and external mods, and sell it really high, tell him/her taht it is an insane motor, and there is no other one like it. Its called being a salesman, it always works.

Watch it, junior. This 49 year old bought a 396 stroker running mid 11's on motor, 10's on NOS and love it.

no the motor isn't in so it's now running, but wouldn't take long to finish. It is a pretty insane motor though. Another motor exact internals dynoed around 700 at the flywheel with a medium size cam. SB chevy 2.2 heads (converted for reverse flow cooling) and the victor jr. intake drilled for fuel injection. So its pretty sick. I think around the 15-17,000 range would be a good price I guess.

96Ramair, I will seperate the motor and trans if your interested. The 12 bolt is in the car though and I won't be able to take that out due to I just had a bad ATV accident. PM me if you are interested. Thanks guys for the input

I believe you would be able to use an LT1 intake on it, just wouldn't have to give with conservitive heads and cam right, I don't see why not? Maybe i'm wrong, Experts?
