LT1 engine number???
Does anyone have any imput or suggestions to this? I'm going over to the place tomorrow to have a little talk with them.
then I wonder why they would need the number. . .if they all had them.
I should just tell them: 4 bolt main,with aluminum heads.

if you just want them to work on your engine it would not matter. if they are being this difficult before you even become a customer **** 'em. you don't need that kind of aggravation.
How does everyone feel about junkyard engines? I know it would be a lot cheaper. . .but is the chance worth taking?

I brought the engine to the shop for them to look at this past week, and the first thing the guy told me is, "I don't know nothing about engines!"
I told him, "Well, I'm sorry. I'm wasting your time, and mine."
I did find the block number though. . . 10125327. It was covered in dirt and grime. Found out it is a "Caprice LT1". I also happened to find another Caprice LT1 for $500 bucks nearby.
The only difference is that my old "Caprice LT1" has alluminun heads on it. I'll use this one, until I have the funds to completely build my old LT1.
