What is a full bolt-on LT1?
Example: Underdrive pulley: Seen on here people gain .1 et .1 mph and heard dead battery or gained nothing.
I just don't want to waste money in the wrong places. Is a cai, headers, exhaust it?
Now as for what works, you will always gain with LT Headers (I prefer Pacesetters), a good catback (magnaflow, SLP loudmouth, basically anything but Flowmaster) and a good CAI (Moroso seems to be the best.
Most CAI companies give you about the same gains. Look into LPE, Moroso, K&N etc. I've never used an underdrive pulley but I hear they are pointless. Put one in a Cobra and it will wake it up. Trending Topics

As far at the TBB, you add a component to the engine and thus I consider it a bolton but call it what you will

Long tubes.
Ypipe.
catback.
intake.
Mass(dont bother).
Throttle body(just port yours).
1.6 rocker arms.
convertor.
gear.
Shift kit.
Pullys.
Its your basic performance up grades, mean I have a fullbolton car. You have all all of them on your car.
1. Long tubes.
2. Gears and tires.
3. Computer mods or DFI.
4. Shocks and an air bag.
5. Converter.
6. Weight reductions.
7. Frame connectors and lower control arms.

As for using only the crank pulley - you are WRONG. The crank pulley is smaller, and lighter. Both taking less energy to spin. The smaller pulley also turns the belt slower - slowing down all your accessories (cough :underdrive: cough). This WILL affect your alternator charging -maybe not enough to matter, but it will affect it. The alternator pulley is an OVERDRIVE pulley. It spins the alternator faster inorder to make up for the slower moving belt. This compensates for what loss in amperage you would have had if you only used the crank pulley.
If you do pulleys, do alternator AND crank.

The 52TB on my 94 was worth 2tenths and 2 MPH, we'll see what a 52mm is worth on this 97 shortly.
I also picked up with an ASP crank/alt pulley set up, but did notice the alternator not putting out the right volts. I was going to try just the ASP crank pulley on the 97 but decided not to for some reason.....
check for gm high tech performance's article about how only adding suspension goodies, they got an otherwise stock LT1 to run low 13s.

Bolt-on's are the only way to go, right Shon??
Post up how Saturday goes
Brady
You should come up to Rockingham this weekend. The IHRA is in town. There will be a bunch of fast LT1 Stockers in attendance. Woodro was running 9.8's in Top Stock last year.
Take Care,
