Ok i'm researching parts, cams, heads, compression, ect, ect i have read so many differant articals on cams and stuff.
what i'm looking for a good match on engine parts but not spending alot of $$$$
i have about $3500. cash :-) to spend alot will go to block prep and heads. porting i will do my self and i will be building it myself.
i love the LT1 stock it pulls really good maybe my set up but even now i raced a 1999 camaro ls1 on the freeway 70 -115 mph and i pulled away from him i'm sure he had 273 gears we did it ( twice ) anyway i don't want to loose the characters of the LT1
keep in mine its my daily driver i put 25,000 in 16 months and i have to pass smog so i have to keep the emission hook up but i have a tuner that will give me 2- tunes one for smog & 1 for performance.
heres specs on a voodoo cam i was looking at 219/227 .515"/.530" 112/106 Hyd/Hyd 1800-6000
Thanks guys for your help..

: I agree. Ported Lt1's would go with this cam. A friend of mine went with it and ported LT4's with a 6 speed and put down 392 hp and 372 ft/lb's.

It made the power all the way through to 7,000 on a stock short block. It's got 3.73's with a torsion rear from slp. That right now is the weakest point. If street-ability is what you need, the XE 503 is a damn good cam also.
