Here is my take:

They both suck!!!!!!!! J/K

If your not wanting to really spend the money on all the "extras" then maybe a cheap set of stage 1 heads/cam from LE or AI will be good. You need to spend the money to go fast. LE has great customer service and a great product. AI has a great product, but lacked on the customer service when I dealt with them. Many other people havent had a problem with AI though. I have sent 3 sets of heads thru LE (LT1 castings, AFR210 castings, Dart Pro1 230cc's) and you cant beat his pricing. With that said, its nice to see AI finally getting into the market by offering their stage 1 job (including cam) for $1095.

I should have my AI LT1 heads here in the next week. I'll be posting ETs soon. No stage anything, just CNC ported. Any guesses on ETs?

I am sure AI does nice work also but my experiences with Lloyd have been great. The first set of heads he ported for my car a couple years ago picked up half a second with the stock valves still in them and no other changes to the car! He has the best customer service I have found and just got my new heads back from him last week. So we will see if these new LE Trickflows can put this little old stock suspension 355" LT1 in the 9's with a little shot. Later Clint

I don't think you'll have any problem getting that 9 sec slip. Are you still running that 306 cam? You have to be the quickest guy running one of those. I posted in another thread about maybe trying a set of LE LT1 castings after I run my AI ones. It would be nice to see some real back to back comparisons on here instead of the usual stuff. I am just really impressed with the flow that AI gets with such a small cc port. That equals port velocity. Trust me, my heads only flow 248 cfm from a small port, velocity is VERY important.

Here is the second Proto type on a little 6.6 LT4

I desighned this one, as others have, off a stock intake.

As you can see even with AFR 210s (LE ported to 220cc) and a 238/245 cam it is snappy

BTW this was absolutly un-tuned...even for the new 42Lph injectors(setting came out 49.6 at 50PSI)

Yeah James still running that old school CC306. I had just planned on running it for a little while last year and the car kept getting quicker and quicker so I left it in there and sprayed 150HP n2o and it was a beast. I could have swapped the gears and converter if I wanted to run quicker N/A but it ran so good and cruised so well with the tight n2o converter and 3.42's I left it alone. Still not bad running 1.58-1.60 60's, 11.20's@120mph with 3.42's (stock 10bolt) and A 3800 VERTER. I will try some 3.73's in my 8.8" early next year and a new cam from Joe or Brett. later Clint
