Autometer Tach with shiftlight
Autometer Tach with shiftlight I just bought an Autometer tach with shiftlight with no instructions and I was wondering where the wires went. I know the red goes to "hot" and the black to "ground", but there are a green and a white wire remaining. I know someone has hooked one up in a LT1 f-body before. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
white goes to any 12v source for lights. I just wire mine into the parking lamp fuse or something that has power when the headlights come on.
The green wire can go to the - wire on the coil, or the better place to use is the A13 (correct me if I'm wrong and it's not that one on an F-body) pin on the PCM. All you need is a $.20 pin from the dealer, crimp it on the wire, stick it in there, and run the wire to your track. No splicing into the coil wire
